Terms & Conditions

These terms outline how we work together at Inside Stories, from booking through final delivery. Paying your invoice means you have read and agreed to everything below, so please give it a read before you book.

1. Payments

To confirm your booking and get your project into our schedule, we ask for an advance of 50–70% of the total project cost. The remaining balance is due once your project is complete. For wedding projects specifically, we release final deliverables only after the full amount has been paid.

2. Timelines & Deliverables

Once we have received all your footage and requirements, we will share an estimated delivery timeline. If materials or feedback arrive late on your end, your delivery date will move accordingly — we can only start the clock once we have everything we need. Need it faster than our standard timeline? We can usually accommodate rush requests for an additional fee.

We do our best with whatever footage you send us, but we cannot be held responsible for quality or technical issues in raw footage you supply — shaky audio, poor lighting, low resolution and so on. We will flag anything that might affect the final result as soon as we spot it.

3. Reviewing Your Film

Every project includes 1–2 rounds of revisions, as agreed in your quotation. Anything beyond that, or major changes to the edit, will be quoted separately.

Once we send your preview, you will have 7 calendar days to share feedback or request changes. If we do not hear back in that window, we will treat the project as approved and move to final delivery. Revision requests that come in after the 7 days may involve an extra charge.

4. Music & Licensing

If you send us music links — YouTube, Spotify, Instagram or anywhere else — to use in your film, you are confirming that you have the right to use that track, whether through a personal license, a paid sync license, or the platform’s own terms. Inside Stories is not responsible for copyright claims, takedowns or platform strikes that result from music you have asked us to include. If you are not sure whether a track is safe to use, ask us before you send your music list and we will point you toward royalty-free alternatives.

5. Your Footage & Files

Your raw footage is yours — we are simply the ones editing it. We treat everything you send us as private and confidential, and we will not share your raw footage or project files with any third party beyond what is needed to complete your project. (Short edited samples may still be used for portfolio or social media purposes, as described in “Showcasing Our Work” below.)

To keep things running smoothly, we store project files for up to 15 days after final delivery. After that window, files may be permanently deleted from our systems without further notice, so please download and back up your final deliverables as soon as you receive them. If files are not downloaded in time, we will not be able to issue a refund or recover them.

6. Communication

We keep things simple: reach us over WhatsApp at +91 92421 00470 or by email at contact@insidestories.in. Instructions or feedback sent through other channels — comments on shared drives, social media DMs and so on — may get missed, so please stick to these two. We are not responsible for delays or misunderstandings caused by unclear, incomplete or incorrect instructions.

7. Cancellations

Plans change, and that is okay — but if you cancel a project after we have started work, your advance payment is not refundable, and we may bill for any additional work completed up to the point of cancellation.

8. Unresponsive Clients & Project Abandonment

Once we have received your advance and started work, we count on staying in touch to keep your project moving. If we are unable to reach you — after multiple attempts by phone, WhatsApp and email — over an extended period, we will treat the project as abandoned.

Before closing anything, we will always send a final notice with a clear deadline date, giving you one last chance to get back in touch. If we do not hear from you by that date, your project will be officially closed and all associated files — raw footage, project files, previews and backups — will be permanently deleted from our systems. As outlined above, your advance payment will not be refunded, since work had already begun.

Once files are deleted, they cannot be recovered. If you would still like to move forward after this point, we are happy to help, but it will be treated as a brand-new project under our current pricing and availability.

9. Circumstances Beyond Our Control

Every now and then, things happen that are outside anyone’s control — internet outages, natural events, illness, platform downtime and so on. If something like this affects your delivery timeline, we will let you know as soon as possible and work with you on a revised schedule.

10. Showcasing Our Work

We are proud of the films we make. From time to time, we may share short samples of your edited film on our portfolio or social media. We do not claim ownership over your content — all rights stay with you — and we will credit you unless agreed otherwise in writing. If you would rather keep your project completely private and not have us feature it on our portfolio or social channels, that is completely fine — just let us know before we begin. Since portfolio and social media sharing is part of how we showcase our work and reach new clients, opting out comes with an additional 30% charge on your total project cost.

11. Jurisdiction

These terms are our own studio policies, not government regulation — they simply set out how we like to work together. We are based in India, and any disputes will be handled within that jurisdiction.

12. Agreeing to These Terms

Payment of your invoice confirms that you have read, understood and agreed to everything above. If anything here does not make sense, or you would like to talk it through, reach out — we are happy to explain.
