Privacy Policy

Inside Stories (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a wedding and commercial video editing studio. This page explains what personal information we collect when you use insidestories.in or work with us on a project, why we collect it, and how we look after it. If anything here is unclear, just write to us — our contact details are at the bottom of this page.

1. Information We Collect

We only collect information you choose to give us, mainly through the forms on this website:

Project Inquiry Form — your name, email address, WhatsApp number, the service you are interested in, and any project details you share with us.

Music Selection Form — your project or event name, an optional email address, and the music links, ritual/section details and notes you provide for your film.

Revision Request Form — your project name, an optional email address, the video link you are reviewing, and your timestamped feedback and corrections.

Raw Footage Uploads — when you upload footage through our Upload Footage page, your files are sent directly into our secure Google Drive workspace so our editors can begin work.

If you contact us directly over WhatsApp, phone or email instead of using these forms, we will also have access to whatever information you share with us there (such as your phone number and message history).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you give us to:

– Respond to your inquiry and prepare a quotation
– Plan, edit and deliver your project
– Communicate with you about timelines, revisions and approvals
– Send you invoices and payment reminders
– Keep a record of past projects for our own reference
– Improve how we work, based on feedback you share with us

We do not use your personal information for anything beyond running your project and staying in touch with you about it.

3. How Your Footage Is Stored

Raw footage and project files you upload are stored in our private Google Drive workspace, accessible only to our editing team. As explained in our Terms & Conditions, we keep project files for up to 15 days after final delivery, after which they may be permanently deleted from our systems. We are not responsible for backing up your footage long-term — please download and store your final deliverables promptly.

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone. We only share information with the handful of services that help us run the studio day to day:

Google Drive — to receive, store and organise the footage you send us.
Hostinger — our website host and email provider, used to keep this site running and to send you emails from us.

These providers only process your information to help us deliver our service — they do not use it for their own marketing purposes. We do not currently use any third-party analytics or advertising tracking tools on this website. If that changes in the future, we will update this policy to reflect it.

We may also share short edited samples of your finished film for portfolio or social media purposes, as described in our Terms & Conditions — this only ever involves the finished edit, never your raw footage or personal contact details.

5. Cookies

Like most websites, insidestories.in uses a small number of essential cookies to keep the site working properly — for example, to remember your session while browsing. We do not currently use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

6. Data Retention

We keep form submissions and project records for as long as we need them to support you — typically for the life of your project plus a reasonable period afterward for our own accounting and records. Raw footage and project files follow the 15-day retention window described above. If you would like us to delete your personal information sooner, just ask — see “Your Rights” below.

7. Your Rights

You are welcome to ask us at any time to:

– Tell you what personal information we hold about you
– Correct any information that is inaccurate or out of date
– Delete your personal information, once we no longer need it for an active project or legal record-keeping
– Stop using your project as a portfolio sample

8. Children’s Privacy

Our services are intended for adults booking wedding or commercial video editing work. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, though footage you send us may naturally include images of children (such as at a wedding or family event) as part of your project content.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time as our studio and tools evolve. Any changes will be posted on this page, so please check back occasionally.
